Aidyn and Dad had a great day together. We must have had some good luck, he woke up with smiles on his face and was squealing and giggling. Seeing that the past three or four days were a bit rough with teething and all. We did the traditional breakfast at Counter Culture, (for those who are reading this and are not from Santa Fe...they have the BEST cinnamon rolls!) So, of course we enjoyed a great breakfast together and finished off the morning with great hike....could have done without the 90 degree temps but we loved it all the same. We headed up the mountain to one of our favorite trails that bring us to water...what a treat here in Santa Fe. Fisher was thrilled to run around we were thrilled to hear the sounds of running water.
Aidyn has enjoyed trying to eat solids, he seems to get a big kick out of it, though once it is in his mouth he is not so sure.
He has also has found his voice...check out the video and see for yourself!
It has been too long, there has been a lot going on in our lives! Aidyn is healthy and well, and has begun slowly eating solid foods...well semi-solid...it is more like mush. BUT, none the less, he is eating some bananas..which he was not so sure about and now he is trying yogurt. He seems to kinda like it, but it is a whole new ballgame eating...a total adventure.
Aidyn is reaching the point now where he really wants to roll over, but at the same time is totally comfortable hanging out on his back. If we place him on his belly he will roll over, so we are getting there. He is growing like a weed. Weighing in at 16 pounds, and is 24 inches long...although that was about three weeks ago, so I am betting that he is bigger now. They do grow fast.
Aidyn wanted to show his grandpa that he is ready to fish! This was a onesie that was made for him at my first baby shower, since my dad could not make it, my mom made this for him....pretty darn cute!
He is LOVING bath time! I think mom and dad are as well, as you can see in the picture.

Michael and I continue to be blown away by Genevieve's talent, and we will never be able to put into words what it means for us to have this as a archived memory. Kudos to you, Genevieve!!
Little bits of heaven happen every morning. Aidyn wakes with a smile and we all hang together to start out our day the right way...in bed. He continues to take me on photographic journeys, I can not seem to stop making those images. Here are just a couple. More to come soon.
Hi Everyone! HAPPY MOM'S DAY...one day late. Aidyn and Michael gave me a great mother's day! They woke me up in the morning with a hand made card done by Aidyn...well mostly...and then we went out for a superb breakfast involving a very large yummy cinnamon roll. To work off that cinnamon roll we headed out for a wonderful hike. As you can see, we all had a blast, and he got pretty tuckered out by the end.We send our love out to all the moms we know. It is an amazing journey!!!!
Aidyn is 4 months old! Yeah! He just got his new backpack, and now that he can hold his head up we can hit the trails in style and comfort. He adores the backpack, he can see and basically drool all he wants. It is great fun. It is also a great workout for mom and dad. Just in time for summer, the weather here is great, mid 70's and sunny....gotta love that.
There really is not much to say here, besides cuteness. Aidyn continues to grow and learn. He is getting pretty darn good at tummy time, and helps out holding his bottle every now and then. We try to spend some family time together every morning, we cherish it.

No...do not panic, he did not actually drink any. He has been watching dad as he sips it in the morning...someday he can join in on the ritual, but for now he will just have to watch.
Grandma Sandstrom was here this past weekend, and we all had a great visit. Aidyn got some great hiking in, and enjoyed showing Grandma Tent Rocks National Monument which is just outside Santa Fe by about 45 miles. It is always great to have family around, we can not wait for the rest of you all to come visit! Enjoy the pics....and I am so thrilled to have some video for you all. I am sure it is not that exciting, but it is some serious talkin' on Aidyn's part. Ya gotta love technology for this reason...I can not believe I get to share all of this cool stuff with all of you!! Just hit play and away you go!
So, we were home a week or so ago, and the family was giving Michael and I a hard time that there were no pictures of mom and Aidyn....so here ya go! They are not the best shots of mom but they are cute regardless.
He is doing great, and he got to visit with Grandma Sandstrom this past weekend as well. I will be posting another post of some adventures with Grandma.
Aidyn got the honor of meeting his aunt Mandy while we were home in Wisconsin this past weekend. We got news that Michael's grandmother had passed away so we made an unexpected flight back home. We are honored to know we got to see Grandma Schwerin on our previous visit and she was able to hold Aidyn, it was extreamely special for all of us, and Aidyn will always know the love of his great grandmother.The memorial service was incredibly beautiful and we will miss her greatly. With these times we end up sharing memories stories, and pictures, which was great fun for the whole family to laugh and remember those great times with her. We loved having that time with everyone.
He is doing great! He is 13 pounds 5 ounces and 24 inches long. He is cooing, laughing, and smiling, it is a real trip!! You will of course notice...he has lost most of his great dark hair! It seem to be falling out at a rapid rate..rather humorous, he sorta resembles a mini monk.
He got his cloth diapers for his birthday, and they are GREAT! Cute as a button too! He will grow into them a bit, right now they are slightly big, but still too cute for words!
This is one of those times when Aidyn will get older, he will hate me for showing these pictures, but it is a my job as a mom!
He is growing like a weed, he is now 13.4 pounds and 24 inches long. Eating like a champ and starting to squeal and shout, it is so great, I can hardly stand it. He is spending time on his tummy and seems to enjoy it for the most part.
And then there is naked time. Our friends Leo and Theresa do this with their son Liam (Hi Guys!) and Michael and I thought it was a great idea, so we have created "Naked Time" after a bath, and he seems to truly enjoy being naked!
How time flies, he will be three months next week!
