26 - 29 Weeks

I can not believe I have fallen this far behind! Life has become very hectic for Michael and I and I lost track of time.

These past couple of weeks have been pretty amazing. Obviously there have been some tough days, as you have read in the last blog, as my feet and ankles have experienced some swelling. But nothing we can not get over! The baby is more than active, loving to move around, and the best part is now Michael can not only feel it but he can see it as well. You can watch the belly and at times it seems as if it is turning completely around.

We finished our birthing class last week. It was a really amazing class, actually in many ways more important for Michael, as they really talk about how the partner needs to be involved in the process and be the support. Of course for me, I have no worries, I know that Michael is going to be absolutely amazing through this process. We have selected our doula and we feel like it is a great place to be right now.

The belly as you can see is getting big, officially gained 20 pounds, not too bad, but I am for sure feeling it now. The yoga has gotten quite a bit more difficult and the breathing more challenging. It is strange, I have the endurance to do things, it is just there is not enough room in my diaphragm to get the air in there.

The baby now weighs about two pounds, nine ounces and is 13 1/2 inches long, give or take. Kicking like a maniac, and looking more like a baby. We are working on names, got a girl name but the boys name is a tough one.

We hope everything is going well with friends and family. We will keep you posted!

I Want My Ankles Back!!

Hi Everyone,
I am so sorry to say that this blog is not an updated picture of me, I have been a bit behind, but a new picture of me will be by Tuesday. BUT, until then, I will be sharing my fat ankles with you!

I want my ankles back! The last couple of days I was in New York City for a photography expo, well....seven months prego and flying to NYC and then proceeding to stand for three days on cement floor smiling and answering questions about our workshops, and not getting back to my hotel room until 9 pm would make my ankles swell like small watermelons.

I would come back to the hotel and put cold compresses on my feet and then proceed to lie down on the bed with my feet up the wall to get the blood to return to the rest of my body. That would have been worth a picture as well..but that is taking things a bit too far for me!

I figured it was time, my entire pregnancy has been going so well, there had to be something to happen along the way...not that bad though really. If all I have to complain about is some fat ankles then life is good right!

Anyway, just a little funny reminder of what pregnancy can be like. It still is the most amazing experience I have ever had and am enjoying every last minute of it.

Yoga and Baby

I will have a picture for the 26/27 week coming this week. We decided to have some fun Sunday and get some pictures of my yoga practice before I get to far along to be able to do anything.

It was a great time, my friend Jennifer took the images and did a great job!! It is wonderful to have friends that are photographers. I even got Michael in there to join me for a headstand.

I hope you all enjoy, we are healthy and well here. I am officially round! We are looking forward to coming home in December to see many friends and family, missing home a bit.

More to come, and enjoy the images.
